Band families, if you plan on going up on Wednesday to Wesley Woods Camp for Parent night, Tom McKinley recommends this route...Tom drove up the trailer this past Sunday with the instruments and luggage and speaks from experience. Thank you, Tom !!!
This is the best way I've found yet:
- NOTE WELL: Please Google or mapquest.com Grand Valley, PA and study the map so you see what I'm talking about here! And plan on 2 hours for the trip. Not that it takes that long, but everyone gets lost out in the PA wilds... Seriously...
- Route 80 to route 8 North to Franklin
- Route 417 north out of Franklin
- 417 ends on 8N north of Oil City, and past the detour. This is KEY!
- Take 8N to Titusville
- Take Rt 27 North out of Titusville. This will eventually, after like 4-5 hours, take you to Grand Valley.
- I swear this place is in Canada... Maybe the North Pole... (just kidding--in reality, Titusville to Grand Valley Via PA-27 is18 mins / 12.73 miles per mapquest.com)
- In Grand Valley, Hang a left onto Eldred Center Road
- Go up say 1/2 mile and turn right onto Hoover Road
- At next stop sign you are there. Turn right and find a place to park.
- Enjoy our wonderful kids as they show off the fruits of their hard work. Believe me, they are working harder that you would ever believe, or ever figured your kids would! Oh, I hope you brought a special treat too...
