Lawrence County Band Festival-September 19

TICKETS AVAILABLE THROUGH BAND MEMBERS: $2.50 in advance, and the band gets to keep the moneey!  Tickets purchased at the gate funds Laurels' band. The 33rd Annual Lawrence County Band Festival will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 19 in New Castle’s Taggart Stadium at 815 Cunningham Avenue in New Castle.  Laurel High School Band, along with their director, Mr. Nate Daubenspeck, is the host for this year’s festival.  This spectacular event showcases the Lawrence County high school marching bands—including Laurel, Lincoln High School from Ellwood City, Mohawk, Neshannock, New Castle, Shenango, Union and the Wilmington Area Greyhound Marching Band, which is under the direction of their new band director, Mr. Jonathan Nickel.  Westminster College’s “Titan” Marching Band, of which Mr. Nickel is an alumnus, will also be performing. Wilmington Marching Band will be performing their football halftime show, including Pinball Wizard, The Pretender and We Got the Beat, featuring their crowd pleasing “band dance”, and more!.  The show will conclude with the Parade of Bands and all the bands on the field playing “America the Beautiful”. Concessions by Heminger Concessions (Tastee Tailgater) will be available at the stadium, along with event apparel.  Admission at the gate is $3.  You may purchase advance tickets from any Wilmington Band Member for $2.50.  The rain date for this event is Tuesday, September 25.
