Highlights and Important Dates from 10/2/2012 WABB meeting:
- Mr. Nickel was very pleased with Lawrence County Band Performance and has received many compliments for the band from the community and administration. THANK YOU!
- Thank you to Kim Thomas and Thomas Construction for donating and making the new gold flags for the silks and majorettes.
- Students will not be permitted to access cell phones during 1st, 2nd and 4th quarters of football games. If they are used, the phones will be confiscated and returned at a later date.
- Due to the ongoing construction at the high school, the October 24 Instant Replay Concert will be held at Orr Auditorium in Westminster College at 7:30pm.
- Mr. Nickel has assembled a uniform selection committee: Claudia Furlan, Karen DiMuccio, Pam Gealy and Jennifer Gordon. They will review uniform options and present options to the students and to the Band Boosters.
- Band Boosters will be applying for a gaming license to pursue fundraisers such as a beef raffle and 50/50 drawings at select concerts.
- Our AWESOME uniform caretaker, Mrs. Claudia Furlan, is in need of ¾’ – 1” white buttons for needed uniform repairs. You may send the buttons in with your band student to give to Mr. Nickel. THANK YOU!
- Cold football games are coming! We are also in need of donations of Hot Chocolate for the games. Please send in canisters of Hot Cocoa to the band room. THANK YOU!!
