All Star Band Concerts! January 8 & January 11

It is January—that means it is time for the annual Lawrence County All-Star Band Festivals!  The best of the Lawrence County School District bands-- Laurel, Ellwood City, Mohawk, Neshannock, New  Castle, Shenango, Union and Wilmington-- come together for  concerts which showcase the talent in our bands. The 7^th-12^th grade concert will be held at 7:30pm on Tuesday, January 8 at Westminster College’s Orr Auditorium.  The hosts for this event will be Wilmington Band and current band director Mr. Jonathan Nickel and retired band director Mr. Gary B. Taylor.  The guest conductors are Mr. Mark Goodwin from Union High School and Ms. Kim Heim from Neshannock.  Admission fee for this concert is $3 for adults and $2 for students. The 5^th and 6^th grade Lawrence County All Star Band Festival will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, January 11 at New Castle Junior Senior High School. Admission fee for this concert is $3 for adults and $2 for students. Over 70 students from the Wilmington band program, grades 6through 12,  will be participating in these concerts.
